India Career In Space Technology, Science & Space Technology Institutes in India

Astronomy : This branch of science deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole. Astronomy is a science, but it is also exciting voyage of discovery. It is the study of the night sky from the planets and moons to the stars and galaxies. The word astronomy comes from the Ancient Greek words astro meaning 'star' and nomia meaning 'law'. In ancient times, observation of the sun, moon, stars, and planets formed the basis of timekeeping and navigation.
Astronomy was greatly furthered by the invention of the optical telescope, but modern observations are made in all parts of the spectrum, including X-ray and radio frequencies, using terrestrial and orbiting instruments and space probes. Astrometry : The measurement of the positions, motions, and magnitudes of stars. Astrophysics : The branch of astronomy concerned with the physical nature of stars and other celestial bodies, and the application of the laws and theories of physics to the interpretation of astronomical observations.
Cosmology : The science of the origin and development of the universe. Modern astronomy is dominated by the Big Bang theory, which brings together observational astronomy and particle physics.
Space Technology
Space Technology : The physical universe beyond the earth's atmosphere. The near vacuum extending between the planets and stars, containing small amounts of gas and dust. Space Technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes.
