Pay Scale: Rs 37400-67000, AGP Rs 9000, and admissible allowances as per State Government rules.

Educational Requirements: 1. Good academic record with a PhD degree in the concerned/allied/ relevant discipline. 2. A Master's degree with at least 55 per cent of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a grading system is followed). 3. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor in a university, college or accredited research institution/ industry excluding the period of PhD research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 (five) publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

How To Apply: 

Step 1: Application forms can be obtained either from the University Office (Address: Cotton College State University (CCSU) office, College Hostel road, Panbazar, Guwahati-781001) on all working days (Between 1000hrs and 1700hrs) or by writing to the Registrar, Cotton College State University for a copy of the form enclosing a self addressed postage paid strong envelope (of A4 size, cloth backed) OR can be downloaded from the University website. The filled in application form, along with relevant documents and the requisite fee (as stated under) in the form of Demand draft payable to ‘Cotton College State University’ at Guwahati, should reach the CCSU office by 31st of January, 2014.
Step2: The filled up application form should be attached with self attested copies of all certificates and relevant documents. It should be accompanied by a covering letter mentioning the post applied for along with the list of documents enclosed.
Step3: All completed applications must be sent to the Vice Chancellor, Cotton College State University, College Hostel Road, Panbazar, Guwahati 781001, Assam, India. Please indicate the position and the department you have applied for on the cover of the envelope.
